Nicklas Bendtner close to signing and could play in Nottingham Forest v Arsenal game
GETTY CLOSE: Nicklas Bendtner is on the brink of joining Nottingham Forest The ex-Birmingham and Sunderland forward is a free agent and is allowed to sign for a club outside the transfer window. Forest, who face Arsenal in the EFL Cup later this month, hope to confirm the signing tomorrow morning. Bendtner began his career at Arsenal and had a loan spell at Juventus before moving to the Bundesliga in 2014. He will become the 12th signing of the summer for new Forest head coach Philippe Montanier. Forest have won three of their five Championship games under Montanier, scoring 11 goals.
